Starting his career in research he moved across to the commercial world and has had a number of technical, marketing and General Management positions within the UK . Time spent with Dalgety (including PIC) enabled Mick to travel extensively and build up international contacts in academia and commerce. Mick particularly enjoys the application of new research and “problem solving. He has written a number of publications, most recently he was joint author of the BSAS Nutrient Requirement Standards for Pigs, and has written for MLC/BPEX on subjects such as heavy pigs, and strategies for the replacement of antibiotic growth promoters. Mick is responsible for the development of the Premier Nutrition Atlas raw material database which is published approximately every two years. m.hazzledine @ premiernutrition.co.uk Brian AshingtonA graduate of Reading University, Brian's interest in pigs was kindled by work on a pig farm as a teenager. After university, he started his career in the research department of a national feed company studying various dietary regimes, performance enhancers, enzymes and trace elements. Most of his subsequent career has been spent in the premix industry where he has gained a reputation as one of the UK 's leading pig nutritionists servicing feed compounders and home mixers. With a broad base experience and practical knowledge of pig nutrition, he has developed a particular interest in wet feeding systems for pigs. brian.ashington @ premiernutrition.co.uk Stuart RowleyStuart has spent all his working life in the pig industry. After leaving school he gained practical knowledge on a pig farm before attending Lincolnshire Agricultural College. From there he joined Dalgety Agriculture where he worked in livestock marketing and pig scheme management. Stuart has worked with major farmer-owned co-op's developing and managing long term alliances with supply input companies and pig processors.
