It is known that using amino acid balancing technology in milking cow diets supports improved health and production performance. Now, research from the University of Illinois has repeatedly shown that amino acid (AA) balancing in pre-calving diets supports increases in milk fat and protein yields and dry matter intake post-calving.
Further dry cow AA supplementation trials also resulted in enhanced calf immunity, health and early growth in daughters who experienced AA supplementation in utero, as well as improving colostrum quality.
What have we done with this science?
