We support feed manufacturing customers and distributors by offering nutrition services as well as on-farm, problem solving sessions. Our nutrition package includes:

• Diet formulation by our qualified nutritionists to ensure optimum animal performance
• Monitoring and prediction of future formulations given the increasing movements in global raw material prices
• Quality control sample analysis of raw materials & finished feed
• Where necessary, proactive monitoring and reformulation once the quality control laboratory results are received

In our on-farm, trouble-shooting sessions we work closely with a farmer’s nutritionist and/or feed supplier to determine the causes of problems and recommend management and nutrition solutions. We have helped to resolve many problems, including:

• Reduced milk yields/milk quality
• Lower feed consumption/conversion
• Fertility/reproductive problems
• Cow health issues including lameness, mastitis, liver function, acidosis, ketosis, etc.
• Calving issues including retained foetal membranes, dirty cows, milk fevers, etc.

Available free of charge to feed manufacturers and nutritionists, in both printed and online versions, it is compiled from our extensive analytical database and updated using the latest raw material quality control data, including trends in finished product quality control. The interactive version also offers:

Premier Signals is a training course delivered by Premier’s senior nutritionists and designed for the global milk production environment. Targeted at nutritionists and consultants who are regularly called to dairy units for problem evaluation, it shows a cow-centric approach to evaluate the animals, farm and feed signals in order to identify bottlenecks and provide practical and nutritional solutions. Using this system, we have helped to resolve many problems, including:

Our extensively developed, in-house ration formulation system uses the latest nutritional thinking design feeding programmes for dairy, beef and youngstock. Based on the established Ultramix template, our ration programme can:

• Formulate rations by either hand steer or best mix
• Evaluate micro and macro nutrient supply v’s requirements
• Adapt to suit user requirements 

Used by nutritionists as an advisory tool for identifying suitable feeds and nutritional solutions, multiple user access to our ration programme can be arranged as part of a sales agreement.
